The 4th International Conference on Exogenous Factors Affecting Thrombosis and Haemostasis (EFATH09) will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, USA from Friday July 17, 2009 until Sunday July 19, 2009.
This will be the 25th anniversary of the first international meeting of this conference, with the main theme being ""From Genomes and Proteomes to the Clinic". It will celebrate the advances in venom research and therapeutics which have been made in the past quarter century. The program will include historical perspectives to cutting edge advances in this field from all over the world. There will be plenary sessions, invited talks and poster sessions to provide an extensive scientific program.
Abstract submission deadline is May 1, 2009. For more details, see the meeting website, http://www.udel.edu/medtech/mclane/EFATH09.html.
The 54th Congress of the „Gesellschaft für Thrombose- und Hämostaseforschung“ (GTH) which is also a meeting of “Nederlandse Vereniging voor Trombose en Hemostase” (NVTH) and the first joint meeting of these two sister societies will take place in the Franconian capital of Nürnberg, Germany, from Wednesday February 24, 2010 until Saturday 27, 2010.
The meeting and its program with plenary lectures, educational sessions, scientific symposia, free communications and posters will attract many of the GTH / NVTH members but also scientists, clinicians and students from other neighbouring European countries. With the congress motto “Basic and clinical research for our patients of all ages and in all situations” and the envisioned program, the organizer hopes to stimulate both academic and social interactions.

The International Society for Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis (ISFP) has selected the city of Amsterdam as the venue for its next two-yearly congress. To give delegates optimal opportunities to enjoy the charms of Amsterdam, in association with meeting attendance, we have booked NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky as the meeting location. All scientific sessions will be held at Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, which is located in the very heart of the historical inner city of Amsterdam. Delegates will have the opportunity to book hotel accommodation at the meeting venue or one of the many nearby hotels offering rooms in various categories.
The congress programme will cover areas of contemporary basic and clinical research in disease areas in which the fibrinolytic system, proteases, their inhibitors, receptors and cofactors play a role. The congress will serve as a forum for exchange between basic researchers and clinicians to discuss the translation of basic research findings into clinical application as well as the translation of clinical issues into basic research questions. Main themes that will be covered by the scientific programme include:
· Mechanisms
· New techniques and models
· Diagnostics
· Proteolysis in disease processes
· Therapy
Online abstract submission, registration and hotel reservation will open later in 2009 on the congress website (www.isfp2010.org). If you wish to receive an email alert when new important information is posted to the website, please send your contact details to the ISFP 2010 Secretariat by email: ISFP2010@mccm.nl.
The city of Amsterdam as the venue of the 20th ISFP Congress hardly needs any introduction. Amsterdam is a well-known centre of culture, trade and science with an excellent infrastructure for international congresses. Important assets of Amsterdam are its excellent accessibility from all parts of the world by convenient airline and railway connections, its compact size and its dense network of ground transportation facilities, encompassing the airport.
We look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam for a successful and unforgettable event in the series of ISFP congresses.

This congress, organized by PM Mannucci for the Mediterranean League Against Thromboembolic Diseases, has an established role and tradition in the field of basic and clinical research on arterial and venous thromboembolic disorders.
It takes place from 6th to 9th July 2010 in Milan, Italy and will mark a timely step towards a new era for antithrombotic agents and clinical research in the field.
In 2010, new anticoagulants will provide long-term treatment of arterial and venous thrombosis without the need of regular laboratory monitoring. Progress is also likely to take place in antiplatelet agents, and advances in pharmacogenomics should help to better personalize the drug treatment of thromboembolism.
The preliminary scientific programme is available online at www.thrombosis2010.org Sign-in to receive our e-mail updates. |
