ISTH 2009 Wheelock College Housing Information

Wheelock College is pleased to offer accommodations for delegates to ISTH 2009 in Boston. Our rooms are available starting July 8, 2009 and ending on July 20, 2009.

We offer dormitory-style housing for adults 18 years or older. We prefer groups and our minimum group size is two.

We have an extremely limited number of single rooms and will consider those requests only after our double rooms have been filled. The cost for single rooms is $10 more per night than the double occupancy rate.

Reservation forms must be completed and faxed back to the number specified on the form. Incomplete forms will not be processed. A 50% deposit is required when submitting the form. Full payment is due by May 6, 2009. Your reservation will not be confirmed until we receive full payment. We accept Visa and MasterCard only. All payments are in US Dollars.

Cancellation and refunds: All cancellations must be in writing and received local time in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. If cancellation is made before May 6, 2009 a full refund will be issued. For cancellations after May 6 and before June 10, 2009 a 50% refund will be issued. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after June 10, 2009.

Air-Conditioned Doubles. $49 per person per night, double occupancy. The bathroom is located down the hall from the rooms and is shared with others assigned to the same floor. Occupancy two (2) per room.

Air-Conditioned Suites. $49 per person per night, double occupancy. Suites feature two double rooms with a common room and ensuite bathroom. Occupancy two (2) per room; four (4) per suite. We will try to accommodate groups of four (4) in suites; however two separate groups of two (2) may be assigned to a suite.
For suites, if two separate groups are assigned, it will be of the same sex.

Non-Air-Conditioned Doubles. $39 per person per night, double occupancy. The bathroom is located down the hall from the rooms and are semi-private as they are shared with a few other rooms only. Occupancy 2 per room.

Non-Air-Conditioned Mini-Suites. $39 per person per night, double occupancy. Mini-suites feature two double rooms and ensuite bathroom. Occupancy two (2) per room; four (4) per suite. We will try to accommodate groups of four (4) in suites; however two separate groups of two (2) may be assigned to a suite.
For suites, if two separate groups are assigned, it will be of the same sex.

All residence halls are non-smoking. All rates include bed linen. All beds are single-sized. Rooms feature a bed, desk, chair, and dresser for each occupant. Fans are provided for non-air-conditioned space. All rooms are wired for internet access; you must provide your own Ethernet connection cable. There is wireless access available in the air-conditioned space and in some common public areas on campus. Other groups (not attending ISTH 2009) may be assigned to your floor. Key: $50 fee for each lost item. We will try to accommodate your room request, but there is no guarantee of housing. Space is limited, so please make your reservation early.

About the Area

Wheelock College is located in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, about six miles from Logan International Airport. We are easily accessible by public transportation. The nearest public transportation stop is “Fenway” on the Green Line (D Line).
The Longwood Medical Area, Fenway Park, Kenmore Square, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Gardner Museum, parks, gardens, restaurants, and shops are all within a 10 minute walk of the Wheelock Campus.
